Russia should be included in the four largest economies of the world by 2030. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation

Russia should become one of the world's four largest economies by 2030.

As "RIA Novosti" reports, this was announced by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Andrey Belousov during a video conference meeting with members of the Russian government.

"By 2030, our country should become one of the four largest economies in the world. Today, as is known, the Russian economy ranks fifth in terms of GDP, equivalent to purchasing power," he said.

According to Belousov, calculations show that Russia can become the 4th largest economy in the world, surpassing Japan.

"We need to increase the country's GDP by about 20 percent by 2030," said the Russian Deputy Prime Minister.
